Adjustments to 2020-21 Budgets

As we consider budgetary responses to the global and local economic impact of COVID-19, aside from eliminating "discretionary spending" such as exterior painting, some software subscriptions, investments in new furniture, and the like, has anyone been offered or is considering salary freezes (union or otherwise)?

    The first word out of the governor's mouth when he mentioned budget cuts was 'education'. Quarterly updates are a disaster for school districts. We will all have to budget very conservatively.

    At this point I have asked our District treasurer to give us a plan b,c,and d, and I've called for a Budget committee meeting (on line) in a couple of weeks. We are just finishing up a Capital improvement project, and for now all punch list items are on hold. But I agree with Mr. Augello, all options are on the table.
