  • We are in the midst of a four-phase capital project that will upgrade all air systems in our three schools. So yes, we will have AC in all classrooms by 2025.
  • As we speak we are considering a 12 million dollar capital project to run all new HVAC to our one building (we’re a small district). I’m very conflicted to be honest. While I believe AC would help students concentrate, there’s probably only a handful of days in September or June where AC would realistically be really needed. A tough decision
  • Yes, we have all of our classrooms in 9 buildings air conditioned. We did a bond for it back in 2018 or 2019?
  • One of our buildings does. It’s being added to the remaining 4 buildings next summer.
  • We don’t yet, and we just completed a 50M Capital project. There has been discussion about adding AC in our next project. I would have to be convinced. Sounds like a splurge for how little it would be used.
  • Yes. We do because many years ago we did geo-thermal systems in our buildings. Positives and negatives to that, but a positive is AC in those building areas where these systems are in use. Many many years ago a neighboring district added AC. I know that because a relative of mine taught there and was very happy when it was done because the students were much more engaged being comfortable in the classrooms.
