Board Committees

Hello , I am interested to know what committees you may have on your Board and what the charge of that committee is. How often does that committeereport to the Board? Does that committee have a community resident as part of it? Thanks in advance !!

  • In Hicksville we have 5 committees. The Audit committee is the entire board, 7 members, meets about 4 times per year. The other committees ( Policy, curriculum, facilities, and finance) have 2 or 3 board members plus staff and residents. Curriculum has about 15 members. Policy about 10 members. Facility and finance have less than 6 each. Committees meet monthly or less if not needed. Subcommittees meet in specific areas, under each committee, as needed, to supplement committee work; they more detail focused. Committees report to the board each month.
