Director of Safety (?)

Our district has a dedicated Safety and Security coordinator. He is a contracted employee through the firm we used for our safety and security audit and bond. Responsibilities include: conduct daily assessments of our security operations, coordinate with area law enforcement, fire and ambulance agencies to make sure we are following best practices and safety trainings, and collaborate with the four School Resource Officers from the Westchester County Police Department. He has also been coming to BOE meetings since we had a few unruly episodes with mask non-compliance. Masks are optional now, so hopefully that won’t be necessary anymore.
