Looking for anyone willing to share their Superintendent goals. We are currently using the NYSSBA Evaluation but are looking for other ideas with more flexibility as well assigning different weights to differents goals. Thank you.

Our Superintendent goals are reviewed and finalized publicly during our August Goal setting workshop that happens concurrently with our August Board meeting. These goals are very specific to the work and needs of our district.

We use SupeEval for our Board self-evaluation and Superintendent evaluation. We meet in ES for a mid-year & year-end Superintendent evaluation. Then we publicly post the formal year-end summary from SuperEval with the rubric rating [ineffective, developing, effective, highly effective]overall and in the following areas:
A. Relationship with the Board
B. Community Relations
C. Staff Relationships
D. Business and Finance
E. Instructional Leadership
F. Annual Goals
BOE Goal #1- Curriculum and Instruction
The Hamilton Central School District holds student learning and wellbeing at the center of every
decision. The learning environment should be academically challenging, supportive, and
engaging. District administration, faculty, and staff hold themselves individually and collectively
accountable through continual professional growth to improve classroom practices and student
achievement.
BOE Goal #2 - Health, Safety, and Support Services
The Hamilton Central School District is committed to providing a safe learning environment. The
students’ relationship with the school fosters growth and trust, and increases their potential to
succeed. Physical, emotional, academic, and social skills deserve equal support to ensure a
holistic education.
BOE Goal #3 - Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
The Hamilton Central School District is committed to creating and maintaining a positive and
inclusive learning and working environment where all students, staff, and community members
feel safe, included, welcomed and accepted. The district seeks to eliminate barriers to ensure
equal access to opportunities and resources.
BOE Goal #4 - Culture and Community Engagement
The Hamilton Central School District values collaboration by seeking out constructive criticism,
feedback, and new ideas from the entire school community. The district seeks to establish a
culture of shared decision making, which is essential because our student’s education is a shared
responsibility of the students, families, school, and community. The school is a public resource
that should be inviting and provide equitable access to the community.
BOE Goal #5 - Fiscal Responsibility and Facilities
The Hamilton Central School District creates a fiscally responsible budget and exercises efficient
stewardship over its facilities to fulfill the mission and goals of the district.
